On Sunday morning, September 26th, at around 4 a.m. emergency units responded to an accident on State Highway 16 North of San Saba. Two individuals, Carlos Perez and Rudy Valencia both of San Saba were transported by ambulance to Llano hospital with numerous injuries.

San Saba Fire Rescue, EMS, Sheriff's Deputies, San Saba Police Department and DPS Trooper Allensworth responded to the scene to assist with the accident.

The accident occurred on the slew bridge right before the Well's residence. Kim Wells, a long time EMS member responded and was first on the scene to render aid and to find that the vehicle had gone off the west side of the bridge and onto her fence.

Sheriff Brown stated, "all of the responding units did an excellent job treating victims. The two victims in the accident were treated and transported and then later released from the hospital." Sheriff Brown also stated, "This crash is currently still under investigation and did involve alcohol."
