During the month of June, San Saba was host to over 20

teams from eight neighboring towns, as well as San Saba ,in a basketball league consisting of junior high, JV, and

Varsity players. Six games per night were played three

nights a week for the enitre month.

Oscar Zepeda organized the league and worked very hard to make it a success. It was a great opportunity for the girls to gain experience and a great opportunity for the school and community to host such an event. Because of its success, the San Saba league was able to present a check in the amount of $1,500 to the SSISD girls basketball program.
