Homecoming week is history and we want to congratulate all classes that participated in homecoming events. Homecoming spirit days and the bonfire and pep rallies were all fun. A special thanks to the senior class for a great bonfire. Thanks to the cheerleaders and sponsor Pam Starr for the outstanding job they did on spirit week. The students and fans ‘rocked’ with Rennie Mann’s drum solo during the blackout pep rally. Miss Stormi Davee, junior class nominee, was selected as the 2010 Homecoming Queen. Press and Bobbi Adams were selected Coming Home King and Queen. Thanks to all who support our Richland Springs youth.

It was a great week for Coyote football. The junior high team played at Gustine and won 45-0. The varsity played a good Gustine Tiger team and came away with a 76-30 victory. It was a cool, picture-perfect autumn night, and was a great culmination to a week full of spirit. Many alumni attended the game. th win. Former athletic director Doyle Clawson was on hand to congratulate Coach Burkhart on his success at Richland Springs. Richland Springs is now once again in the same football district with Cherokee. The San Saba County Rivalry is once again renewed. The Coyotes play the Indians at 7:30 this Friday at Coyote Field. This game will also be the first district game for both teams. A good crowd is expected for the game. th. The junior varsity will play Santa Anna at Rising Star at 7:30 on Thursday. Come out and support our young athletes and cheerleaders in UIL competition.th. Students received PSAT prep materials in Mrs. Hall’s English class and are urged to review sample problems and questions prior to the test. Juniors taking the test are eligible for National Merit Scholarship recognition. The first six-week grading period ended October 1st. Parents should receive report cards the week of October 4-8. Parents should contact teachers with any concerns. Parent involvement is a key to student success!
