The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met September 23, 2010 for play day with Anita Miles filling in for Hattie Rogers, the Chair for September, calling for a game of the traveling 4-ball point system. Janet Hoyt won first and was Low Net for the day and Jo Ann Snow was second. Anita Miles scored the Low Gross for the day. Becky Hardin, Jo Anne Hardy, Dorothy Sterner, and Sandee Hartley were also present for fun in the sun. Bobby Churchill was present, as usual, and encouraged the other players by riding in the cart with Sandee. She is improving but still not ready for the links. We had two special ladies watching the play, Nell McHorse and Pat Ribb. They have both had health issues so it was so good to have them join us as they have been out for a while and they also did lunch. The ladies all have a very special bond of friendship! The business meeting will be September 30, 2010 instead of the first Thursday in October, as six of the active ladies will be attending the Senior Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament in Glen Rose, Texas on that date. Fall is in the air so you’d better take advantage of these beautiful days by "swinging!"
