The Cherokee Reunion was a great success. Thanks to all!

Recently Doug and Cyndi Suggs went to a workshop in Tennessee. It was held near the Smoky Mountains. They saw a bear. After the workshop was over they went to Chattanooga to visit with Doug’s Mother.

Last week Janiece Duggan went to Wyoming to visit with Jerrod, Kim and boys. This week Danny went to visit with them. Danny had to wait until the auction was over.

Delton McGuire has been in Chicago presenting his seminar on Raising Children in a Media Filled World.

Cherokee Home for Children has hired a new couple to work there as houseparents. Welcome to Bill and Roni Visalli.

Monica Suggs spent the weekend with Doug and Cyndi Suggs. She came in for the homecoming and reunion.

Larry and Paula Windham has been visiting with David, Cristi and Darryn Windham. Patrick, April and Ty Windham has visited in Cherokee lately.

Funeral Services were held last Saturday at the Kuykendall Cemetery for David Edward Cavness. David is the son of Pat Cavness. Those attending the funeral were Pat Cavness, his sister Dana, Joel Cavness, Lindy Cavness, Josh Cavness, and Lori Hayden. Grandsons, Zach Haden and Daniel Haden.

Mark your calendars for October 24. Super Saturday in Cherokee. If you would like a booth, contact Kasi Morrison.

Cherokee is hosting the Pee Wee games this Saturday. Tickets are $2.00. The schools participating are: Cherokee, Richland Springs, Lometa, Brookesmith and Santa Anna.

The Indian Flag Team will be playing at 9:00 a.m. against Richland Springs and again at 11:00 a.m. against Brookesmith.

The Indian Tackle Team will be playing at 12:00 p.m. against Richland Springs and again at 2:00 p.m. against Brookesmith.

They will have lots of goodies for sale in the concession stand.
