Mary E. Oldham

Mary E. Oldham, of Old Forge and formally of Ocotilla Drive, Marble Falls, TX, died Sunday August 29, 2010 at VNA inpatient unit at Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She had been a resident of Old Forge, PA for the past eight years. Her husband, Rufus Oldham, died on December 19, 1987.

Born in San Saba, Texas on January 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Albert Leon and Gladys Perry Taylor. Mary worked in the accounting department of the Federal Government prior to retirement. She took pleasure in painting, quilting and gardening. Throughout her life, Mary had a great devotion to God and her faith helped her through many trials and tribulations. Her family was the center of her life and she will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in their hearts.

Surviving is a daughter, Debra Zabielski and husband Joseph, Old Forge, PA; five grandchildren, Steven Craig Holloway and wife, Ann Marie, Garner, North Carolina; Laura Cuellar and husband, Anthony, Petaluma, California; Colin Holloway and wife, Rankin, Palm City, Florida; Karina Mariotti and husband, Robert, Old Forge , PA.; Joseph Zabielski, III and wife, Anastasia, Archbald, PA.; and ten great grandchildren.

A daughter, Linda Holloway; a grandson, Michael Zabielski and a sister, Marjorie Shahan; preceded her in death.

A grave side service will be held on October 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Marble Falls Cemetery.
