Thursday, September 30, 2010 • Posted September 30, 2010

Central Texas Telephone Cooperative and Central Texas Communications are proud to sponsor the Food Drive each year.

Alvino Valdez, Treasurer of the San Saba Ministerial Alliance said, "This year, the Ministerial Alliance will give all of the non-perishable food items collected to the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas that comes to San Saba twice a month. They will take the food, sort it and distribute it back to the residents of San Saba County." He went on to say, "The need for a Food Drive is greater than ever this year. There are hundreds of families in San Saba County that depend on the Capital Area Food Bank to help feed their families."

The Ministerial Alliance also takes the cash donations from the Food Drive and contributes monthly to the Food Bank to help them purchase their food for San Saba County.

Please mark Friday, October 15th on your calendars now!

There will be free sausage wraps and drinks from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM on the Courthouse Square.

Everyone that brings some food to the Food Drive, will be eligible to register for one of the many door prizes the businesses in San Saba County so graciously donate every year.
