Jr. High Indians Run Past Tigers - School & Sports - San Saba News & Star

The Cherokee Jr. High football team opened their 2010 season with a 33-0 shutout over the Gustine Tigers.

Baylor Jordan scored touchdowns on runs of 20 yards, 11 yards, and 8 yards and also hauled in an interception. Rolando Davis scored on a 20 yard run and recovered 1 Tiger fumble. Ashton Pittman scored on a 31 yard run and added a PAT. Blaze Smith recovered 2 Tiger fumbles. The Indian defense did a great job of containing the Tiger offense.

The Jr. High Indians will host Lometa Thursday, Sept. 16, at 6:00.
