The best news of this week is the 4 to 5 inches of rain around the area that accompanied the hurricane. Lawn mowers are being kept busy again.

Nine folks showed up for the Cox Cemetery meeting last Saturday. Those attending were June Beakley, Ben Dennis, Lanell and Hannah Parson, Curtis Lee, Ed and Paula Campbell, Michael Suber and myself. The next meeting will be the first Saturday in May. Bryan Gober is responsible for keeping the cemetery mowed and it looked very nice. We have been trying to buy a few acres adjoining the cemetery, but so far, have not been able to do so.

There were four tables of 42 players at the tournament here in Richland last Saturday night. Bill Harlow and Michael came in first place. The next tournament will be October 9th in Elm Grove.

The Richland Springs Coyotes came out the big winners again last Friday night with a score of 64-8 over Lingleville. The Coyotes now host Fellowship Academy this Friday night.

I was happy with the way the UT game turned out but real disappointed in the Cowboys.

The Busy Bee quilting has been cancelled for this month. Too many conflicts, I guess. The next quilting day will be October 12th.
