Yes, this alcohol issue is about profit and about money. The last time I checked, it was not a sin to make a profit, and yes, I am concerned about the outcome, mainly, the economic survival of our city. People are killed and injured by guns and many traffic accidents are caused by people texting or talking on their cell phones so should we ban guns and cell phones too? As for the issue of ill gotten gain, that would apply to any business operated dishonestly regardless of what type the business was. Now, back to the issue of money, I thought we still needed money to operate in our current society, but just to make sure San Saba hadn't adopted the barter system without telling me, I called the chief appraiser to see if I could use some other form of payment for my taxes. He assured me they were not taking hogs, goats, chickens, or any other livestock or goods, they would, however, be needing a check!
