If your calendar is like ours, it’s packed! Church meetings; school programs; community events; our jobs—we’re all super busy! FaithWeaver Friends is an exciting elementary after-school program at the First United Methodist Church, and it’s worth adding to your calendar!

Here’s why….

At FaithWeaver Friends kids connect their Christian faith with real life. The children will be journaling, making crafts, playing games, and working on projects. Each week the children will be applying what’s being learned by completing Daily Challenges. These challenges are often service projects to be completed at home, so the children will learn to serve others in a practical way.

Beginning September 8th, we’ll meet every Wednesday between 3:45 pm and 5:30 pm to sing upbeat songs, play cooperative games, make tasty treats, create special projects, and explore Bible stores in wild and wacky ways. It’s great fun, and if you’re a kid between the ages of 4 and fourth grade, you’re invited!

Enrollment for the fall semester is open now. The cost of the program is $15 per child which helps cover the cost of the fall and spring program including a t-shirt, snacks, crafts, and activities. Scholarships are available. For more information or to register, call the First United Methodist church office at (325) 372-3120 or FaithWeaver Friends Director, Monica Shahan at (325) 372-4668.
