Thank you fans and citizens of San Saba!!! San Saba ISD has thrived this year, thanks to our wonderful staff, school board and your extraordinary support of this school district.

We have had a spectacular spring, both academically and athletically. TAKS scores have arrived and the preliminary analysis is very positive! Campus counselors and principals should be in contact with parents soon regarding these scores.

A strong group of seniors will be leaving San Saba ISD but not until they have left a lasting mark on this District. We will be graduating 46 seniors, 22 of whom are honor graduates. As impressive as that is, 27 of these seniors will graduate with dual credit college hours. Of these 27 seniors with dual credit hours, 18 of these students have 24 or more college hours which is equivalent to one full year in college. What a savings for these families, and what an accomplishment for these students. Good Luck Seniors – we expect great things from you in the future!

I want to thank this community for the extraordinary support that our baseball team and coaching staff have received in their quest for baseball greatness. As we travel to Snyder this week to play the Dimmitt Bobcats, please consider traveling with us; or at the very least, catch the games on KBAL radio. This team represents what is great about public schools - supportive parents, and committed students who are led by strong individuals coaching and teaching them each and everyday. Teachers and coaches work with young people because they love to make a difference – to the staff of San Saba ISD, thanks for making 2007-2008 a truly great year! To the Armadillos – BEAT Dimmitt and let’s make it all the way!

Please watch the San Saba ISD website for the unveiling of our newly updated website. This revamped site should be published on May 23! We will continue to update the website to keep the students, parents and citizens informed of school events that occur during the summer months. A big thank you to Milly Summy and Judy McCoy for spearheading this project.
