Thursday, May 22, 2008 • Posted May 22, 2008

It didn't happen this golf season or even this school year. It has taken years of preparation and dedication for Megan Cisneroz to achieve the things she has wanted from a game she loves so much. The countless hours she spent trying to develop the perfect swing and the thousands of golf balls she hit at the driving range has paid off for Cisneroz.

The San Saba High School senior signed a National Letter of Intent to play golf at Angelo State University. Cisneroz will be a member of the Lady Rams golf team which will begin its first year of competition in August. Cisneroz says, "I am excited about helping and being a part of a new program. I think we have the ability to be successful."

Megan has been a member of the San Saba Lady Dillo golf team the past four years. She was the Regional Champion in 2008 and has played in the UIL State Golf Tournament four consecutive years. When asked about her most memorable moment at SSHS, it took only a few seconds for a response, ". . . shooting a 69 at the last round of District."
