Thursday, August 5, 2010 • Posted August 5, 2010

The San Saba Independent School District has scheduled student registration for the three campuses. If you are new to the District please feel free to register with the Elementary (PK - 4) Middle School (5 – 8) or High School (9-12) Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm in the campus office. New Students should try to register before August 16, 2010 if possible.

Each student who did not attend school in the San Saba ISD and who is registering for the first time in the District, must bring his or her shot records, Social Security Card, birth certificate, and proof of residency. If students possess records from their previous school of attendance this would be very helpful in setting up initial schedules.

Registration for returning students will be as follows: San Saba High School will run Tuesday, 9 am - 4 p.m.– August 10 for Seniors and Juniors and 9 am - 4 p.m - Thursday – August 12 for Sophomores and Freshmen. Middle School and Elementary School will register students on August 12 from 8:00 – 3:00.

On August 12, 2010 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm SSISD will be hosting a "Welcome Back to School/Information Day". While parents or students are registering from ANY CAMPUS, you are encouraged to stop by at the Elementary Cafeteria to participate in the immunization clinic if your child is in need of immunizations. As well, cafeteria staff will be on hand to let parents pre-pay for student meals or submit an application for free and reduced lunches or get set up on mylunchmoney.com. As well, information will be provided about getting connected to the school through the school’s website alerts and the school’s Parent Portal where student grades and attendance can be accessed via the internet. As well, information will be provided for the new Optional Flexible Year Program for San Saba High School and San Saba Middle School – Calendars will be provided.

School is about to start, so let’s get ready for a great year. Please stop by the central office or any of the campuses if you have a question. As well, please feel free to call the offices at the following phone numbers: Central Office – 325/372-3771; San Saba High School 325/372-3786; San Saba Middle School 325/372-3200; San Saba Elementary School 325/372-3019.
