A bridal shower was given Sunday afternoon at the Baptist Church for Amanda Austerman. Amanda got many lovely and useful gifts.

Football practice started this Monday Morning. Head coach is Phillip Martin and the assistant coach is Jim Simpson.

The Cherokee Church of Christ had VBS last week. A group from Katy Church of Christ helped with the VBS.

Sheriff L.A. Brown will do a program on Sunday, August 8th at 5:00 p.m. at the Cherokee Baptist Church Youth Building. This workshop is called "What Parents Need to Know about Drug and Steriod Abuse. Adults only are welcome and urged to come.

Pee Wee Football got started on Tuesday night.

Barbara Maddox, Angela Maddox, Ross and Dean and Chris Maddox and David spent one day last week enjoying Fiesta Texas.
