Mill Pond Park Track
Thursday, August 5, 2010 • Posted August 5, 2010

The Economic Development Corporation along with San Saba ISD recently renovated the Track at Mill Pond Park. It is a great facility, but We Need Your Help! Please help us keep Mill Pond Track and Field in good shape by following the guidelines.

Playing Field Use:

•The playing field is open to the public on SATURDAY AND SUNDAY unless a school event is scheduled. When using the field please do not stick any object in the field that might cause an indention or hole. This could potentially injure individuals running/playing on the field. Football practice begins on August 2, 2010. Please respect items that are in place for our students.

•The field has to be watered. When the sprinklers are running, please respect this and let the sprinklers run the full cycle. Please do not play on the field during or directly after it has been watered. Please do not turn off the sprinkler system to use the field.

Track

•The track is open each and every day to joggers and walkers! Open access is available all of the time unless an event is scheduled.

•The track will deteriorate if it is not properly cared for and respected. When possible, please walk on the outside lanes (lanes 8, 7, and 6) as lanes 1 and 2 are showing great "wear and tear".

•Please don’t drag items across the track that would puncture or peal the surface. No wheeled items are permitted. Please follow the directions provided by the signs that are posted.

Hours for track/field use will vary in the spring as Track and Field Season will be in full swing.

Please respect the San Saba ISD lease with the City of San Saba. SSISD sports equipment will be in use and stationed in and on the track and playing field. Please respect these items. If you would like to use the field, track and/or lights for an event, please call the San Saba ISD Central Office at 325/372-3771 to make arrangements.

We appreciate your help. Many hours of maintenance and money are spent keeping this facility in good shape. This facility is a wonderful benefit to our community and it takes all of us to keep it maintained.
