San Saba ISD welcomes new administrators

New and known faces will grace the halls of San Saba ISD in the coming school year. Returning to San Saba ISD is Michael Bohensky. Michael served as the SSMS principal in 2009-2010; however, Michael has joined the Central Office team as Assistant Superintendent supervising among other things, state and local assessment, curriculum, including the District’s new CSCOPE Curriculum and Federal Programs. Also known, but in a new position is Vicki Key. Vicki has served the District as teacher, counselor, and now will take on the position of San Saba Middle School Principal. Kay Shackelford will be in her second year as principal at San Saba Elementary but begins her tenth year serving San Saba ISD. Returning to lead the sports program is Athletic Director and head football and baseball coach, Jeff Pannell.

New to San Saba ISD as High School Principal is Mr. Woody Martin. Mr. Martin comes to San Saba ISD most recently from Tolar and Granbury ISD’s. Mr. Martin is a graduate of Howard Payne University and Tarleton State University. Mr. Martin has already begun his duties at San Saba High School and is interested in visiting with students and parents. Miki Martin, wife of Mr. Martin, will join San Saba Elementary School as a second grade teacher.
