Don Harris, 79, of Ft.Worth, passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2010 at Harris Methodist Hospital. He was born December 7, 1931 in Beeville, Texas, the son of Carlton Richard Harris and Ollie Mae Rawls. Don Harris and Nell Summers were united in marriage on February 3, 1951. He served in the National Guard. He was a Laundry Manager for the Marroitt Hotel and was a member of the Baptist Church. Don was also a member of the Ft.Worth Police Department C.A.P.A, member of the neighborhood Code Blue, Tarrant County Bi-Vocational and Small Church Association.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Harris of Ft.Worth; his son, Rick Harris of Ft.Worth; daughter, Sheila Harris of Ft.Worth; grandchildren, Crystal Greenleaf and her husband John, & Courtney Harris; greatgrandchildren, Ashton Davis, Julia Harris,Kendall Greenleaf, Kathryn Greenleaf; sisters, Jewell Faught and her husband Clyde of New Braunfels; Marjorie Frizzell of Round Rock; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 3:00 P.M at The Richland Springs Cemetery in Richland Springs, Texas with Rev. Mac Taft officiating.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Faith Community Baptist Church, Ft.Worth, Texas.
