The San Saba Ladies Golf Association held the monthly Traveling 4-Ball Tournament on June 24, 2010 with 27 ladies participating, seven from San Saba. There are seven clubs in the Traveling 4-Ball Association, Delaware Springs, Fredricksburg, Georgetown, Lampasas, Hidden Falls, Blue Lake, and San Saba.

Two San Saba Ladies, Sandee Hartley and Marilyn Kerr, were on the First Place team, Jo Anne Hardy was on the Second Place team, Hattie Rogers was on the Third Place team, Anita Miles was on the Fourth Place team, and Dorothy Sterner was on the Fifth Place team. Anita Miles and Jo Ann Snow both scored a birdie during the tournament.

Betty Ann Johnson catered the lunch of salads, homemade breads, and the traditional pecan pies! The visiting ladies are always so appreciative of the lunch, as not all of the clubs provide this extra, and they all know Betty Ann and what a great job she does. Betty Ann’s food is a part of the appeal of coming to San Saba for golf!

The San Saba ladies cannot say enough about Keith Harris and all he does to make things run smoothly and he does it with such ease. He does all the pairing and scoring, as well as taking care of the ice water on the course. We could not do without Keith, OUR PRO!

Our Traveling 4-Ball Chair, Sandee Hartley, did a great job and it was a successful tournament with everybody having a fun time and there was lots of "swinging!"
