Alan King, 61, of San Saba, passed away on Wednesday June 23, 2010 at a local care facility. He was born May 27, 1949 in Taylor, Texas, the son of Alvin King and Shirley Priem. Alan King and Melissa Matthews were united in marriage on May 12, 1990. He was a truck driver and a member of the San Saba County Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Missy King of San Saba; his son, Anthony King of Cedar Park, Texas; his daughter, Robin King of Manor, Texas; and his grandchildren, Colt King and Jordan Nelson.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m at The Fathers House Church in San Saba with Rev. Welton Watson officiating and Rev. Tom Brand assisting.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Alan King Memorial Medical Fund at Arrowhead Bank.
