The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met June 17, 2010 for play day with the Chair for June, Jo Anne Hardy, calling for a game of Low Gross, Low Net, and Low Putts. Anita Miles had her day in the sun by tying for First Low Gross, Second Low Net, had the Low Putts for the day, and won the chip in pot! Wow! The Low Net award went to Mailyn Kerr and the Low Putts award went to Sharon Early. Other ladies participating were Sandee Hartley, Dorothy Sterner, Hattie Rogers, Jo Ann Snow, and Janet Hoyt.

The monthly Traveling 4-Ball Tourney will be in San Saba on June 24, 2010 and the ladies will be wearing their pink San Saba shirts. The ladies have agreed to buy new shirts from the pro shop. They are grey and have the San Saba logo on the front and on the back it has the sign "Warning: Golf at San Saba may become habit forming - Play at your own risk". All members need to go to the Golf Shop and pick their size as we are going to order the shirts and add our names. Please do this as soon as possible, as we will probably wear them at our next event.

David Harrell had his tenth hole in one this week on hole #2. Tenth! Congratultions David! That may be a record for San Saba as our pro, Keith Harris, has only had seven. Now that’s impressive, as David has a few years on Keith! Keith’s real thrill was when he made a double eagle albatross. It was a par five and after a great drive the second shot went in the hole! He considers that a high light to his career and it was during a tournament. Golf is well and alive on the San Saba River Golf Course. It’s where the action is and a great place to just be "swinging!"
