We still haven’t received any rain this past week and we are showing a need for it. Summer officially began Monday and we have already had some hot days.

We only had nine present for the community meeting last Saturday night. There seems to be a general lack of interest and if that doesn’t change, there soon won’t be anyone left to oversee the community center. A lot of work has gone into it over the years and I would hate to see it all go to waste. A good report was given on the homecoming picnic.

Curtis Lee had his daughter, Ann, and her grandson, with him at the meeting. Curtis is blessed with a large family who try their best to look after him.

Bobby Deeds told us that he has a new grandson. Bobby Edward and Ashley Deeds welcomed Evan D. Deeds to their family on June 1st. They have another son, Ethan.

Jerald and Gloria Weatherman have been vacationing in Colorado. They had to be called home due to the death of his Dad, Glyn Weatherman.

Marilyn and Bethany Suber drove me to San Angelo today for a Dr.’s appointment. Georgia Tucker went along with us and we just happened to work in a visit with 11 day old, Sophia Elizondo, and her parents. She is still awfully pretty and not causing her parents too many sleepless nights. Lindsey Roberds joined us all for lunch.

Jax, Georgia and Jesse Tucker will be staying a few days with us while their Mom, Amy, takes part in a workshop in San Antonio. Amy has secured a teaching position at Brady Elementary this next year.
