Stewart Reunion

The descendants and friends of J.W. and Hattie Mallett Stewart held their annual reunion the weekend of June 12 and 13. The Stewarts had ten children with only two surviving, Frances Parks and Nancy Doyle.

On Saturday evening, 62 gathered at the home of Doris Cates for a lot of visiting, hamburgers, hot dogs and homemade ice cream. The Senior Multi Center was the scene of a covered dish luncheon on Sunday. Many took advantage of the beautiful Mill Pond Park for picture taking, swimming and looking at the pretty flowers and the older ones stayed in the cool building visiting.

Those attending were Nancy, Don and Gary Doyle of Breckenridge; Angela, Bryant, Casey and Dayden Sands and Ashley Doyle of Sachse; Jack Stewart of McKinney; Leon and Nancy Stewart of Mansfield; Juanita Barnes of Dallas; Brad, Faith, Cyanne, Memphis and Dixie Wimberley of Lake Jackson; John, Sandra and Kelsey Whitlatch of Robinson; Eddie Mesina, Gerald and Leah Kinder of Waco; Wanda Wallace of Comstock; Betty and Jimmie Lee Townsend, Tad, Beth, Taylor and Mrs. Rhyan, Terri Taylor and Linley Domel of Burnet; Cristi Parton and Tracy Davis of Fiarfield; Cindi, Jeff, Lane and Shellbie Rust of Cisco; Justin and Jill Wimberley, Caitlyn and Arrianna Parton of Sweeny; Mrs. Bubba Wallace, Hailee and Zack Wallace of Early; Ashton and Addison Taylor of Lampasas; Ramona Siebenmann of Valley Mills; Rusty, Shelbi, Lydia and Mason Cates of Collinsville; and Patti Anerson of Austin; those from San Saba were Frances Parks, Larry and Ryan Parks, Annabelle, Donald and Sandra Parks, Doris Cates, Laura, Chad, Julia and Dailia DeWitt, and several friends who did not sign the register. Those attending on Saturday but on Sunday were Ronald and Corey Sanderson of San Saba and Joyce Sanderson of Buchanan Dam.

Next year the Stewart Reunion will be held June 11 and 12, 2011.
