The Reading Express makes a stop in Egypt
Thursday, June 10, 2010 • Posted June 10, 2010

The Reading Express with Ms. Shelia and Teddy on board made a stop in Egypt this past week. Participants heard the story, Tutankhamen’s Gift, and then learned about Hieroglyphic writing and made a bookmark with their name using the Hieroglyphic writing. They also divided into groups to make mummies and had a mummy race. This week the Reading Express will be making a pioneer stop. The Reading Express is part of the Summer Reading Program which is sponsored by the Friends of Rylander Library and LCRA. It is being held each Wednesday in June from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rylander Library.
