The San Saba County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the schedule of events for our 72nd Annual Pecan Capital of the World Rodeo and Parade, beginning with June 10th, Thursday night County Wide Team Roping. The public is invited out to watch local competitors.

Friday's activities begin at 7:00 p.m. at the San Saba arena with a fan favorite, Mutton Bustin' for the kids.

Look for fast paced rodeo action featuring the award-winning livestock of the IROC/Lancaster Rodeo Producer, sanctioned by CPRA, UPRA and TCRA. Performing each evening is Johnny "Back Flip" Dudley, with comedy acts, for young and old alike, and Kamikaze Kowgirl, performing "Wild West Trick Riding." The exciting "Pecan Sack Race" is not to be missed!

Saturday in San Saba begins with the rodeo Parade stepping off at 10 a.m. at 8th and Wallace Street. We have many entries, clowns, floats, wagons, horses, cars, trucks and hopefully a trailer hauling a bull just to name a few.

Neleva Golding will be our Grand Marshal this year, riding in a vehicle furnished by Hoffpauir Outdoor Super Store. Woman of the Year, Marian Deans and Man of the Year, Tony Guidroz, will be riding in a vehicle furnished by Heart of Texas Ford.

Finishing off on Saturday evening, is the final performance of the rodeo with more great rodeo action as well as two drawings, a Youth Polaris RZR 170 will be raffled off by the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets are still available at the Chamber office with a get in free pass to the rodeo Friday or Saturday (your choice) with each ticket bought. A 2010 Ford Pick-up will be raffled off by The Community Foundation of San Saba and you need not be present to win either of these raffles.

There will be several vendors present on both nights in case you would like to shop for jewelry, candles, hats or T-shirts.

The conclusion of the fabulous weekend features a dance under the stars at the rodeo grounds and your Saturday rodeo ticket gets you into the dance free.

Featured at the dance will be the exciting and popular Mark Scott and The Southern Comfort Band doing ballads like "Stand Up Fool," "Big Blue Diamond" and many others. Please bring your own chairs to the dance.

Rodeo tickets are still available at the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce from 8:00 to noon, Arrowhead Bank, Harry's and any of the Directors of the Chamber of Commerce.

Welcome everyone, bring your family and friends and have a great time!
