Texas pride. There is nothing quite like it, and often that pride comes from tradition and ties to the land. For 75 years, USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has helped Texas farmers and ranchers protect their property and has given them something of which to be proud.
Born out of the adversity and anguish of the Dust Bowl, NRCS has a long and distinguished place in Texas history. The agency is proud to be part of the legacy of conservation, stewardship and production exhibited by Texas farmers and ranchers, who for generations have worked the land, cared for it and restored its bounty and beauty.
For decades, NRCS has provided free services to agriculture producers across Texas to meet their land management goals. I'm proud to see so many producers taking extra steps to protect their properties and want to congratulate NRCS for 75 years of service to the people of Texas.
