Thursday, June 10, 2010 • Posted June 10, 2010

2010 marks the three year anniversary for Richland Springs Playday Association ( R.S.P.A.). Each year the non-profit association holds a series of playdays for kids from 0-99 years of age.

The contestants compete in 5 events: Cloverleaf Barrels, Pole Bending, Flag Race, Goat Tying & "Dummy" roping and accumulate points over the series to determine the High Point contestants in each age group.

In 2009 the association awarded 2 saddles & 11 buckles as well as numerous other trophy tack prizes. Every contestant that participates in at least 75% of the series will receive an award. The association collects funds for these prizes through concession proceeds & entry fees as well as donations from generous sponsors. All monies that are donated and collected are put back into the prizes that the contestants receive. In 2009 the RSPA presented over 50 awards and the number of contestants continues to grow each year .

This year all the playdays are scheduled for Sunday afternoons with books opening at 1 pm & Playday start time at 2 pm. Bring your family out to enjoy all the fun and enjoy a delicious lunch from the full concession stand! Remaining Playday dates are June 27th, July 11th & July 25th.
