Bad Bob’s Store reports that the fishing has been really good of late. Nice yellow catfish have been brought by the store. It is reported that they are baiting trot-lines with goldfish and carp. If fishing with rod and reel use night crawlers, stink bait or cut bait. To see the actual pictures of some of the catches go to Bad Bob’s web site. Seeing is believing-no fish story this time.

Jimmy Light was in last week and he reported some nice catches of catfish on his trot-line and rod and reel.

Every weekend there has been a host of visitors in all the fishing camps and the state park, which is a good indication that the fish are really biting.

Winnie Lou McCoury reported an update concerning the wedding of their grandson Curtis Lemons and Cydney McElvaney. The wedding was held at the Aldergate Church in College Station and the reception was held in Bryan at the Brazos Center. All the flower arrangements was done by Winnie Lou. It was a very tired couple who returned home to Bend late Sunday afternoon. They reported that they drove in a heavy rain storm on the way home. It would have been nice if they had brought some of it home with them, as rain is needed badly around the Bend.

Jerry Reavis reported that he has been getting better each day and the therapy has been helping him also.

Lola Morris was in to see the doctor this past week and she received a good report, but the doctor wanted her to wear a monitor for 24 hours to be sure of what her heart is doing.

Keep Lillie Belle Marley on your prayer list as well as everyone else who has been having health problems in and around the Bend.

Rufus Cobern reported the family was thrilled that grandson Garrett was back in the states and will be taking extra classes this summer and working as an intern in a lawyer’s office starting in July. He made "A" on all his papers turned in while studying overseas.

Bill and Jo Price was in Midland Thursday to attend the ARCO retirees’ luncheon and visit with former employees. It was just a one day trip to and from. Long way to go just to have lunch, but it is the only time Bill gets to catch up with fellow employees that have retired.

Bill will be going to Round Rock to the Scott & White Clinic Monday to have a shot that he hopes will help to clear up the problem he has with his back and leg.

Sunday Lucille Underwood and Waymon Saul of Round Rock was in visiting relatives and catching up on all the news in the family.

Happy birthday greetings go out to Gary Grant who will celebrate a birthday June 10, as well as George Dennis whose birthday is also June 10, William Clark will be celebrating his birthday June 16 and Alisha Rogers will celebrate a birthday June 17.

Congratulations go out to Walter and Sheila Brister who will celebrate their anniversary June16.
