MATTHEW 13:31-32 "And Jesus said, The Kingdom of Heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field: Which is indeed the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof."

Jesus spoke this parable to His disciples when they were trying to decide what to do about the tares that were found among the good they had sown. I mention it here to show what tiny little things can bother a man's faith while he is trying to serve God.

MATTHEW 17:20 "And Jesus said unto them, It is because of your unbelief: for because of your unbelief: verily I say unto you; if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place: and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

Was this a truth when Jesus spoke it? Jesus was trying to emphasize the great importance of faith when we try to serve God. It teaches, we have but a tiny faith, but God will bless it if we will only believe.

MARK 4:31-32: "Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which when it is sown in the earth, it is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out branches: so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it."

LUKE 13:19: "Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and cast into his garden: and it grew and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it."

LUKE 17:6 :"And the Lord said, if ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea: and it should obey you."

These scriptures cannot possibly mean as much to the public as they do to me, because I have seen, I have planted, and I have grown many small trees from these ancient mustard seeds as described in your Bible. My mother obtained an abundance of these mustard ancient mustard seeds from her relatives in Tow Valley, Texas. She became an expert to know how to make those tiny seeds sprout and grow. She gave many of her friends in the Baptist Church some of those tiny sprouts and they grew rapidly to a height of 10 feet or more. She planted one near her kitchen window that grew to a diameter of about 10 inches and was taller than the house. Many birds loved it. About 80 years ago those tiny mustard seeds were a great conversation topic for many people of all ages here in San Saba. Many openly said it proved the Bible for them. Please read again Luke 17:6 and let it be a test for your faith. That was what Jesus was teaching...
