Bobby began working at an early age and entered many types of work, from grocery work, insurance sales, oilfield work, and then working for GTE as a lineman and cable splicer. He is survived by his wife, son Robert and wife Cathy Magee of Mesquite; and his delight were his five grandchildren Kelly, Jonathan, Brendan, Caitlin, and Madeline. Also surviving are his sister Joyce and husband David Mitchell of San Saba; and brother-in-law Jim and wife Myra Holmans of Abilene. He cherished a lot of fun times with his nieces, nephews and cousins along with great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles.

Services were held Saturday, June 5th, in Coleman, Texas at Walker Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with a family visitation at 10:00 a.m. preceding the service. Officiating at the service was Paul Shero, minister of Southgate Church of Christ in San Angelo and Chaplin Mike Andress of Hospice of San Angelo. Burial was at 1:30 p.m. in the Burkett Cemetery.
