Thursday, May 27, 2010 • Posted May 27, 2010

The next GED Test at Gatesville High School will be given Tuesday and Wednesday, June 8 and 9, 2010 at 5 p.m..

Individuals wishing to take the test on those dates, must complete registration some time between 5 and 7 p.m. on June 2. Be prepared to spend 30 minutes to an hour when registering.

You need to bring with you a current state or federal photo ID, Social Security Card, and $65 fee for the test.

Registration will be held in room 22 at Gatesville High - you need to come to the back of the high school to get to this room easily. Before you register, you must go on-line to www.utk16.org/scoring and fill out a demograph form. If you failed the test in 2002 through 2008 and need to retest one or more parts, each part costs, $10 and it must have been six months since you took the test or you have been to GED classes and you have a letter from the instructor saying you are ready to retest. You need to bring with you a copy of the previous test scores if you have tested before. If you are under 18, there are other qualifications also. Please encourage anyone you know that needs to complete their education to find out about the test.

Please report by 5:15 p.m. to take the test and be sure to bring original cards, licenses and registration receipt at the time of testing.

If you have questions or for more information, call Barbara Huntley at 254-856-8281 or 254-865-2460.

If you know someone interested in taking the GED, please pass this information on to them. There will be a new test coming out in 2011; so if you have started the test, you need to get it completed before then or you will have to take the complete test again.
