Rylander Memorial Library announces Summer Reading Program- Reading Express

The 2010 Texas Reading Club, Reading Express, provides opportunities for children ages 5 through 12 to enjoy reading. It begins on June 2, 2010 from 1:00 to 2 p.m. at the Rylander Memorial Library. This free program, sponsored by the Friends of Rylander Library and LCRA Employees United Charities, will continue on June 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th. Each week Miss Shelia & Teddie will be leading fun activities including storytelling, singing and crafts. Children will also have a chance to check out library books. Local school officials applauded the library for its efforts to help local school children maintain and improve their academic skills during the summer months. More information about the Texas Reading Club is available by calling 372-3079. The Rylander Memorial Library is open Monday thru Friday from 11 a.m. to 5:00 p.m and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mary Lee Caulder is the librarian at Rylander Memorial Library.
