Twelve Texas law officers who have lost their lives while on duty during the past two years were honored May 11 during the annual DPS Memorial Service at the DPS Training Academy in Austin.
"Each year, we take time to remember our fallen brothers and sisters in law enforcement. I want their families to know that we honor and respect their sacrifices, and will never forget the price their loved ones paid to keep us safe," said Steve McCraw, director of the DPS.
