Raymond Theodosis graduates from Medical School

On Friday, May 21 Raymond Barrier Theodosis graduated with a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at the convocation, which was held in the City Bank Auditorium in Lubbock, Texas. He was hooded or presented his MD hood by his father-in-law, J. E. "Rick" Martin, Jr., MD of Henderson, Nevada. Commencement exercises were held Saturday, May 22 in the United Spirit Arena. Raymond was recognized as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, where inductees must be in the top of their class.

After graduation he will be going to Wake Forrest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for a year of preliminary medicine; whereupon, he will begin a three-year ophthalmology residency as one of three candidates selected for the program. He graduated from San Saba High School in 2000 and from Brigham Young University with a B.S. degree in physiology and developmental biology in 2006.

Attending the ceremonies were Raymond’s wife, Allison, sons, Joshua, 5 and Paul, 3; his parents, Byron and Lisa Theodosis and sister, Michelle Theodosis of San Saba; grandparents, Raymond and Paula Barrier of San Saba and Ann Theodosis from Kerrville, Texas; Allison’s parents, Dr. Rick and Suzie Martin from Henderson, Nevada; Allison’s brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Ava Martin from Salem, Oregon; and Allison’s grandmother, Jamesy Settle of Lubbock, Texas.
