Dear Editor:

It has been my privilege to be The San Saba All Sports Booster Club President for the past 2 years. It has been a joy to work with and for the student athletes of San Saba. They are great kids that work very hard to represent our community. My term is ending and the booster club will need a new president for the 2010-2011 school year. Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 5:30pm in the high school library. Please come to plan for next year.

The role of the booster club is to support the student athletes of San Saba. The booster club raised and donated over $7,000.00 to the athletic fund of San Saba. The coaches, administration, and most importantly, THE KIDS of our school depend on the booster club to be there to support them, both financially and in raising spirit. The booster club has been responsible for Meet the Dillos, Tailgate parties, and the Sports banquet-these events are not put on by the school, but by the booster club. If parents and community members do not become involved in the booster club, our student athletes will not have the experiences or support that the booster club has provided in the past. YOU are needed to help San Saba Athletics to continue to improve and enjoy success. Our theme this year has been ‘WE ARE SAN SABA, WE ARE TOGETHER’. Please come to the meeting on Tuesday, June 1 to do your part.
