Jerry Sutton

Jerry Sutton, 60, of Lometa, Texas, formerly of San Saba, passed away, Thursday, May 13, 2010, at his residence. Jerry was born March 6, 1950 in San Saba to Johnny Sutton and Jewel Juanita Wilson Sutton. He married Betty McKneely in San Saba on April 13, 1983.

Jerry worked as a butcher in a local grocery store.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Betty Sutton of Lometa, Texas; his sons, Dusty Sutton of Waco, Texas; and David and his wife Mary Sutton of Lometa, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers, Walter and his wife Melissa Sutton of Azle, Texas; Larry and his wife Dorothy Sutton of Zavalla, Texas; Ramie and his wife Sheryl Sutton of Santa Fe, Texas; one sister, Helen and her husband Billy Chastain of Houston, Texas; mother-in-law, Willena McKneely of Cherokee, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Sutton of Oklahoma.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Johnny W. Sutton; his mother, Jewel Juanita Sutton; one niece, Shana Leigh Sutton; one sister-in-law, Janet Golden; one nephew, Terry Chastain; and one brother, Alvin Sutton.

Services were held Sunday, May 16, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George McHorse, officiating. Pallbearers were: Billy Sutton, Donny Sutton, Marshall Sutton, Aaron Boswell, Matt Boswell and Russell Vanderburg.

Interment followed at the San Saba Cemetery. There was no graveside service.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
