Time to go to Cherokee: One WEEK EARLY
Thursday, May 13, 2010 • Posted May 13, 2010

The Cherokee ladies have invited us to come to their new Youth and Activity Center next Thursday, May 20th, beginning at 11:30 a.m. for the May Fellowship of Christian Women’s Luncheon. Please mark your calendars for this One Week Early. Invite some ladies to carpool with you. This new building is located behind their fellowship hall, so parking is suggested for around back.

The luncheon is featuring May Favorites, and we are treating our 40 year olds this month. Other ages are encouraged to bring foods of choice to enjoy around the serving tables. A nursery can be available at this church, if you make arrangements with Sharon Hayes in advance.

Dorothy Miller has recommended her pastor’s wife, Chris Cloyd, from Goldthwaithe to come and share her missionary testimony.

Chris has been devoted and involved with missions in Africa and Mexico for many years. Ladies in Africa make beautiful beads and other items from recycled paper to help their families live. Chris has helped build houses in the colonias of Mexico and collected supplies of all kinds to help the poor. We want to have a listening ear to ways we might assist. Beads and other items will be available and the money to go to missions. Hope you can make your plans to come to Cherokee First Baptist Church next Thursday to enjoy fellowshipping time and then to hear this precious testimony.
