The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met April 29, 2010 for play day with the Chair for April, Jo Ann Snow, calling for a game of team play called "One, Two, Three".

On the first hole you take one low score, on the second hole you take two low scores, and on the third hole you take all three players score and the total low score of the team is declared the winning team. The team of Sandee Hartley, Dorothy Sterner, and Jo Ann Snow defeated the team of Anita Miles, Hattie Rogers, and Becky Hardin.

It was a fun game with the team encouraging their team members. Sandee Hartley scored the Low Gross for the day and Dorothy Sterner scored the Low Net. Becky

Hardin scored the only birdie of the day. Bobbie Churchill rode the entire 18 holes and caddied for Anita Miles, as her cart was broke down, and kept the scores. So, needless to say, they had a great time together!

The San Saba 4-Lady Pecan Classic is scheduled for May 15, 2010 at 9:00 AM. If you haven’t entered your team please do so as soon as possible by calling Anita Miles at 325-372-3581. This is a great tournament with ladies from all over Central Texas participating. We are blessed to have the City National Bank sponsor this tournament each year. We are so appreciative of their generosity! San Saba businesses have always supported the golf course and have made it what it is today.

If you haven’t been to the course in a while you need to drive down just to see all the improvements the City has made. We have beautiful rock formations, water fountains, plants, ducks, and the 18th hole will soon become something to behold. It will almost jut out into the pond with a rock wall and is simply beautiful! It’s a great place for meditating, relaxing, laughing, sunning, and "swinging!"
