Thursday, May 6, 2010 • Posted May 6, 2010

The San Saba County Ministerial Alliance will host a National Day of Prayer Breakfast beginning at 6:45 a.m. in the Student Center of San Saba’s First Baptist Church as a part of the 59th Annual National Day of Prayer that will take place Thursday, May 6, 2010. Millions will unite in prayer at thousands of events from coast to coast. The theme for this year is "Prayer for Such a Time as This" and is based on the verse from Nahum 1:7 which states: "The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him."

Shirley Dobson is the Chairman of National Day of Prayer. Mrs. Dobson is nationally recognized for her leadership skills and her many contributions to women’s affairs, Christian organizations, and the institution of the family.

Honorary Chairman of NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, Franklin Graham, says no court can stop us from praying for our country.

"To act like a National Day of Prayer is a bad thing or somehow subversive is ridiculous. Surely our country needs prayer now more than ever."

—Franklin Graham, National Day of Prayer Honorary Chairman

This event is open to anyone who would like to participate in a time of prayer for our local community and nation. Please join us for this important time of fellowship and prayer.
