Dear Editor,

I'm pleased to renew my subscription to the newspaper that my grandmother, Alma Ward Hamrick, wrote for, for many years.

It gives me great pleasure to read about the people and places in San Saba that are so familiar to me because for many years San Saba was my second home.

Additionally, two years ago, my family was surprised and excited to learn that the San Saba County Historical Society is planning an historical marker in her honor, as well as publishing a 3rd edition of her book, The Call of the San Saba.

In conclusion, you can see that my ties to San Saba remain constant, and the San Saba News and Star is special to my family.
