Trooper Mark Owens of the Texas Department of Public Safety seized an ounce of Crystal Methamphetamine during a traffic stop which occurred on Highway 16 north this past week. Sheriff Brown stated that it was the largest single bust this year involving methamphetamine.

Trooper Owens arrested one male for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) > 4 grams, but < 200 grams with intent to deliver.

Sheriff Brown also stated that Trooper Owens has also been the top officer in the fight to get drunk drivers off the streets and has worked just as hard on the issue of individuals driving without a license.
