Over 4,000 years ago, Issac's wife Rebecca, became pregnant and it was found twins were in her womb and were fighting. God's help was sought in the matter and in ROMANS 9:19 God said, "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated; even before they were born." If we realize God knows the future just as well as He does the past, there will be no criticism against God for giving this important information. If we study the posterity and history of these twins it does become important even to all people in the world of today. The posterity of Jacob has always been favored by Almighty God, and they became nations of people who worshiped God. But the posterity of Esau were never recognized as religious and God fearing people. It will concern all Americans to know the posterity of Jacob are the predominate people of the United States and Israel today; and are always described as God's people. On the other hand the posterity of Esau are inhabitants of Russia and never described as God fearing people. Eons of interesting history can be found concerning the history of these two nations of people. We are mentioning it herein, only to jump across most of this interesting history and consider Biblical prophesy that might be seen in the very near future. That can be found in the 38th and 39th chapters of EZEKIEL. The nation of Russia is located directly north of Israel.

EZEKIEL 38:14 "Prophesy and say unto GOG, thus saith the Lord God; In that day when My people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? And thou shalt come from thy place out of the North parts. Thou and many people with thee; a great company and a mighty army. And thou shalt come up against people of Israel; as a cloud to cover the land. It shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against My land; that the heathen may know ME, when I shall be sanctified in thee O Gog before their eyes. And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come up against the land of Israel, saith the Lord, that My Fury shall come up in MY FACE. For in MY jealously and in the fire of MY wrath have I spoken, and surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel." All bible Scholars know Gog is referenced as Russia, and that great shaking, could, by imagination, be believed as a prophesy to show God's anger against Russia. EZEKIAL 39:4 "Thou shall fall upon the mountains of Israel. Thou and all the bands with thee will I give to the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 7. And I will not let them pollute My Holy name any more. 12. And it will take the House of Israel seven months to bury the house of Gog to cleanse the land."
