Mable Wiley

Mable Wiley, 99, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. She was born March 18, 1911, to George Cook Taylor and Sudie Edwin Terry Taylor. Mable married Anderson Howard Wiley on November 26, 1929, in San Saba. Howard preceded her in death on February 19, 1989.

Mable attended The Church of the Open Door.

Mable is survived by her sons Billy Howard Wiley and his wifeSally of San Saba, Texas; and Tommy Joe Wiley and his wife Judy of Iola, Texas; her daughter Joycelyn McBride of San Saba, Texas; her grandchildren Vickie Jarosek and her husband Joe; Ricky Hail and his wife Glenda; Denise Kirkland and her husband Dave; Sherry Parrish, Jana Childers and her husband Jesse; Billy Wiley and his wife Sue Ann; Renee Mims and her husband Bubba; Jody Wiley and his wife Debra; Marcia Wiley, Scott Fredrickson.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Kyle Letbetter, Traci Powell, Ryan Jarosek, Matt Jarosek, J. D. Jarosek, Crystal Fair, Justin Hail, Taylor Keleman, Jesse Kirkland, Sally Gossett, Devin Cowan, Mason Parrish, Shane Childers, Brandon Childers, Dusty Wiley, Willie Wiley, Landy Covington, Jake Mims, Billy Mims, Shelly Tharp, Terry Wiley Jr.; and her great-great-grandchildren Brenden Childers, Macye Kirkland, Rylee Kirkland, Kohen Kirkland, Jordan Gossett, Jacey Gossett, Chase Gossett, Peyton Covington, McKenzi Powell, Kyleigh Powell, Caton Letbetter, Gage Letbetter, Jace Jarosek, Colby Jarosek, Katie Jarosek, Lexie Warthen, Ty Jarosek, Hailey Jarosek, Stormy Jarosek, Cohen Tharp, Hudson Tharp, Sean Mims, Dylan Mims, Lilly Mims, Emyris Mims, Gavin Mims, Pryston Covington, Peighton Covington, Autumn Cowan, and several nieces and nephews. Mable is also survived by her special puppy Puddles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Peggy Fredrickson; one grandson, Terry Wiley; five brothers, and three sisters.

Services will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Craig, Officiating.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 4, 2010, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Terry Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Terry Cemetery or The Church of the Open Door.
