Central Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, San Saba Radio Station and Hochheim Prairie Farm Insurance joined forces to promote the month of April, 2010 as "Alcohol Awareness Month." Their objective was to promote the Awareness of Alcohol Abuse through a contest, involving the students of San Saba County by having those students create and produce a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. San Saba High School was the only school that chose to participate and twenty nine high quality entries made the judging difficult. Congratulations to the winners, from left to right are: Mario Valdez, fourth runner up (certificate); Ryan Guidroz, third place with $75; Joanna Crosby, second place with $100;Kristen Reynolds, first place with $150; McKenzie Hibler, fifth runner up (certificate).
