SAMUEL 8:7 "And the Lord said unto Samuel, hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee; but they have rejected ME.

No person can sincerely read the history of God's people and fail to see the tremendous love, mercy, and forgiveness Almighty God always gave to His people. He consistently blessed them far above the average of earthly people. The reader may become confused to see how His chosen people could fail to show respect and appreciation for His great blessings. But this fact can become an inditing message for Americans today if we realize this attitude towards God has not changed and our great nation is also rejecting the ways of God. The highest priority of most Americans today is to seek pleasure and treasure with but little praise and desire to serve God. If we give attention, we will also see God has blessed America far more than the average. He has held us as number one above all the other nations: and it is sad to have to admit we are becoming a very sinful nation. It would take a book length to even begin to show the sinful practices of Americans today. And it should greatly disturb us to look at what God did to His own favored people when they did reject His ways.

2 KINGS 17:20 "And the Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until He had cost them out of His sight." In other places in the Old Testament; scriptures show where God brought evil nations against His own people and punished them without mercy when they became so wicked it angered Him. My friends, that should frighten all Americans who have enough wisdom to see these truths. It would be a very terrible experience to be punished by Almighty God without mercy, and we should use our greatest effort to realize we might be near the point of sinning enough to anger God and cause His punishment. America is becoming a very, very sinful nation and God does see it all.
