We have had many telephone calls and concerns about the state of the San Saba ISD website.

If you have gone to the website lately you have found minimal updates. We have kept up-to-date the new calendar and postings employment openings. From time to time we will post vital dates to assist parents. However, anything that has been posted has been very slight. The reason for the minimal updates is due to a new website design and a vendor hosted website that will be coming out soon. The District’s website found at www.san-saba.net is currently being totally reworked. The new website slated for debut on May 23, 2008 will be powered by epoweredschools, a web hosting vendor. San Saba ISD Director of Technology, Milly Summy and her technology staff of Judy McCoy have been preparing the website. The initial site work is being prepared for the campus level staff to take over and customize the individual pages. Once the website has been completed there will be 120 plus pages to the site. The site will be driven by five major navigation buttons: administration, schools, staff resources, student resources and parent resources. The site will have easy to access forms, photographs, an events calendar and a “notify me section”. The notify me section will allow patrons, parents or anyone who has registered to be notified that an update to the website has been made. Using a vendor, the site should be easier to keep updated. The vendor software provides for access by key department and campus leaders to keep pages current. The vendor software replaces a webmaster who worked for the District part of the school year. The web hosting software does have a reoccurring monthly charge, but this cost receives a 77 percent discount due to E-rate funding. Please watch for an official announcement that the website is ready to go. This posting will be on the LED sign located outside the District Central Office at 808 West Wallace.
