Sara Perry (long jump), Miguel Rocha (3200m run), and Hector Jimenez (400m run) competed in the Region 4 Track Meet in Huntsville last week.

TAKS testing is this week. Wednesday is basically Math, Thursday is basically Science and 9th grade Math, and Friday is basically Social Studies.

Tuesday, May 6th, at 3:15 is the PTC Teacher Appreciation Ice Cream Social.

May 8th is the date for the THEA test. Sophomores or juniors who want to take college level classes (dual credit) next school year have to pass this test before they can enroll in the classes.

May 9th is the Sports Banquet. It will begin at 6:30 at the Cherokee Home pavilion.

Monday, May 13th, at 6:30, the Sophomore class will host the school-wide Variety/Talent Show. A dinner consisting of grilled pork chops, baked potatoes, green beans, rolls, cobbler and ice cream will be served. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and a half size plate for under 6th grade will be $5.00. Tickets will be available from the sophomores or email rboultinghouse@cisd.centex-edu.net.

Monday, May 26th, is a school holiday.

May 28th and 29th are Final Exam days.

Graduation is Friday, May 30th.
