We had 1.1 inch of rain out at Elm Grove over the weekend. It was greatly appreciated.

Only 7 people showed up for the cemetery meeting at Holt Cemetery last Saturday. There was some illnesses reported and I guess just a lack of interest from some others. If you cannot attend the meetings, please send your donations to Pat Nehr, 29, CR 416, Rochelle, Texas 76872. Funds are needed to pay for mowing, etc. since we no longer do our own mowing like we used to. The next meeting will be the first Saturday in October.

The work day and business meeting at the Cox Cemetery will be this Saturday, May 3 at 9:30 AM. Donations or memorials may be sent to June Beakley, 1557, CR 448, Rochelle, Tex. 76872.

Lanell Parson and I attended the quilt show at Brownwood Saturday afternoon. There were some pretty quilts and very intricate quilting. Hannah Parson spent the day with her Aunt Marilyn while we were in Brownwood.

Be sure to remember the Homecoming Picnic on May 17th. Tell all your friends and come and join us for a day of good food and visiting.

Larry and Yvonne Cottrell have another new grand daughter, born to their daughter, Angie, and her husband. I’ll have to get all the details next week.
