Receipts totaled 4339 head for the week. After weeks of strong price increases on stocker and feeder cattle, the futures market topped out and saw a little leveling off causing most of the classes of cattle to be steady or a few dollars back of last week. Light stocker steers sold steady in a strong market with big stocker steers selling $2 to $4 lower and big stocker heifers selling $2 to $5 lower. Feeder steers sold $2 to $3 lower and feeder heifers were $2 lower. Packer cows and bulls showed no change from last week.

A special bull offering was held in conjunction with the regular sale with a choice set of 26 Angus Plus bulls off the Sauer Cattle Company averaging $2071 with the top selling bull bringing $2800.

Jim Johnson sold 5 Angus bulls that averaged $2660 and the top selling bull was $3000.
