On Wednesday and Friday, April 14th and 16th high school boys competed in the district track meet at Early. Our varsity team finished 4th and our JV team finished 3rd. These young men should be congratulated on the fine job they did at this highly competitive meet. All of our athletes finished at least 10th or better in all of their events. The athletes that finished 3rd or better in the varsity division will be moving on to the next level to compete in the Regional Track meet in Odessa on May 3rd and May 4th . Those that finished 4th will be alternates to the regional meet. This year we doubled the number of boys that are going to regionals by qualifying 4 boys for regionals. If you see Hayden Oliver, Allan Hale, Wil Sloan, or Luis Vega congratulate them for being regional qualifiers. Every one of them competed to the best of their abilities and as coaches we were very proud of them. With their attitude and willingness to work hard they will become better track athletes and better athletes over all. These young men are showing great improvement and the dedication to be successful and they should be commended for that. We want to thank the community for their continued support of San Saba Track, San Saba athletics, and these young men!!
